At six-five, Combes is an Amazon. Before becoming a cop, she was a professional basketball player. Born in Derry, Occupied Ireland, her RUC father brought her to the U.S. after the murder of her mother. She was a street cop in Santa Ana and Los Angeles before moving to Boulder-Springs to take a detective's shield.
